The sudden shifts in the American economy due to the coronavirus crisis could accelerate existing trends or create new norms, according to Macquarie Research.
"We believe that the future is likely to be forever changed even as [about] 8 weeks ago we were hovering near record market highs, saw record low unemployment, and lived a very different day-to-day life," the firm said in a note.
