How does spot Robot help to fight against coronavirus?

American engineering company, Boston Dynamics. In 2020 US robotic company Boston Dynamics’ four-legged Spot Robot has been helping Boston hospital doctors communicate with patients with coronavirus for two weeks now. This is written by The Verge. Also, it is said that amazing Spot technology will save a lot of human lives.

How does it work?

A tablet is attached to the robot, which allows the doctor to minimize the time of communication with the infected patient. In the future, the company intends to implement the functions of measuring the temperature and pulse in the robot, and also use it to disinfect the hospital with ultraviolet rays.

Spot helps physicians communicate with patients remotely, over time it can be adapted to heart rate, measure temperature, and respiration.

Boston Dynamics, known for its military development for the Pentagon DARPA agency, has unveiled a version of the Spot robot that helps doctors communicate with patients. Instead of a “head”, a four-legged robot has a tablet mount.

“We are pleased that using the robot helped staff minimize contact with potentially infectious patients, “the company said.

Spot can be adapted over time to measure temperature, heart rate, and patient respiration. Moreover, four-legged robots can be useful not for only treating patients, but also for the disinfection of hospital premises.

At Boston Dynamics, they are ready to collaborate with medical device developers and take further steps in the fight against coronavirus.
